In early May this year, myself and Karen took up the challenge to Quit Sugar and you may be wondering how things are going.
We can both say that two months on, we haven't managed to quit sugar completely, however what we both have gained and benefitted from is a change in habit which is sustainable in the longterm for us both.
We have greater awareness of just how much sugar we had been consuming in the past and are both much more selective with what we are eating, also being more aware of hidden sugars. Treats actually feel like treats now rather than the norm and our tastes have shifted away from the sweet to more savoury. Our water intake has increased and this no longer feels like a chore.
Overall we are pleased with what we achieved in these two months and will be continuing.
